Aug. 26, 2015 — During the past month there occurred a “raid” on several homes which are owned and operated by the LCO Housing Authority. These raids resulted in arrests and evictions related to criminal and illegal drug activity. Additionally, Housing personnel who are trained in the proper methods of testing for Methamphetamine, conducted sampling of the affected units and sent the same to a certified testing laboratory which came back positive for the presence of the illegal drug within the units. We will continue to test for the presence of this highly destructive drug, including when we suspect illegal activity related to Methamphetamine and during your annual inspection.
Tennants should be aware that the presence of illegal drugs will most likely result in your eviction and you will be financially responsible for the cleanup costs. You should also be aware of federal law that exists which will result in a lifetime ban from ANY federally assisted housing anywhere when tied to criminal activity related to Methampetamine.
This drug is highly destructive to anything it comes into contact with including the health, safety and welfare of families, including innocent babies and children. DAGA, DAGA, please, please think twice about harming your loved ones and protecting your babies and children from the effects of this drug.
